Determine whether there is a strategic advantage to entering the Italian market. How should competitor’s marketing strategies inform and influence Starbuck’s entry into this new market? Should it even enter Italy at all?
Paper must be in the correct APA writing style. Include a minimum of 2-3 resources; 1 resource must be peer reviewed.

Coca Cola Company: Leadership and Organizational Structure

Assignment Overview
This course project is designed to give you real life practical experience while examining some of the key elements of organizational behavior as they apply to a specific organization.  Additionally, the project offers you the opportunity to develop and create your own recommendations for the organization.
Each week, you will complete a weekly project (parts A - E) and, in week 7, you will synthesize all of this into a final project that will be your recommendations.    For the weekly projects, you will be conducting research and presenting findings related to the organization that you selected.  For the final project, you will develop a formal recommendations paper based on your research.  Consider the weekly projects as a way to examine the current state of the organization.  Consider the final project as a way for you to provide recommendations to better the organization.

Timeline and Point Allocation
See the course calendar for specific due date:
  • Topic Selection:  Week 1 (30 points)
  • Part A:  Week 2 (50 Points)
  • Part B:  Week 3 (50 points)
  • Part C:  Week 4 (50 points)
  • Part D:  Week 5 (50 points)
  • Part E:  Week 6 (50 points)
  • Project Recommendations:  Week 7 (100 points)

Topic Selection:
One of the most critical steps in this class is selecting an organization.  You will use this topic for each weekly project and the Project Recommendations.  An organization must be submitted for approval before you can proceed to the next elements of the assignment.  Failure to submit your topic selection by the due date will preclude you from completing the upcoming project assignments.  When selecting an organization for purposes of these assignments, it’s best to select a mid-size organization where you will be able to access the information needed to complete these assignments.  Selecting an organization that is too large, like Wal-Mart or GE, will be too significant a scope for these assignments.  Selecting a small organization of under 20 employees won’t provide the needed dynamic to complete these assignments.  When considering what organization to select, you may select an organization where you work or have worked.  You might also select an organization that is of interest to you but it should be an organization where you have access to resources to complete the required assignments.  There are many scholarly sources available within the Davenport University Library.  Additionally, other great resources could be leaders within the organization who you can interview.  One word of caution, it’s important to maintain objectivity.  This will be demonstrated by your scholarly research.
For the Project Topic, you will submit a 2 page (body) APA formatted paper that will include the following:
  • Name of organization
  • Reason why you selected this organization
  • Description of organization that will include type of industry, number of employees, basic history, any other pertinent information as to why this is a great selection for your topic.
  • A minimum of 3 specific APA formatted scholarly resources that you plan to use in your upcoming research.
The topic must be approved by faculty before you can proceed.

General Guidelines for Parts A-E and Project Recommendations
  • Projects must be completed using APA standards with the inclusion of:
    • Title page
    • Abstract
    • Introduction
    • Body (with correct use of headings and sub-headings)
    • Conclusion
    • Reference Page
    • Appendices (as needed)

  • Projects must be completed in third person.
  • Parts A – E as well as the Project Recommendations do get submitted to Turnitin as a routine.
  • These assignments require that you conduct and assess scholarly research.  A good place to start your research is the online databases accessible through the Davenport University Online Library.  [Hint: If you are unsure how to use the databases ask for help by clicking on the Ask A Librarian link]. You can also use professional websites and magazines, quality newspapers and journals. Yet another source would be interviewing leaders within the organization.  Note: References like Wikipedia may be a good starting point but it is NOT considered academically credible because the information can be edited by lay people who may not input accurate and validated information.   Parts A - E need to have a minimum of 4 scholarly sources outside of our class resources.  With each week, you should be expanding your reference list rather than using the same references repeatedly.  The Project Recommendations needs to have a minimum of 10 scholarly sources outside of our class resources.
  • It is imperative that you tie your research and recommendations to the course material.  Be sure to link your projects to the core concepts from the class.
  • The body for each of the weekly projects will be  4 – 6 pages.  The body for the final project will be a minimum of 10 pages.
  • The university’s policy on plagiarism and academic honesty apply.

Discussion—Outsourcing: A Strategic Advantage?

Discussion—Outsourcing: A Strategic Advantage?
Outsourcing may provide tremendous advantages for firms. It may allow companies to specialize, reduce costs, and focus narrowly on the core competencies they deem strategic; however, companies also have to think about what they may lose both qualitatively and quantitatively. For example, when outsourcing, managers need to be certain that what they source from outside is not a key component of their value proposition.
A way to reduce those risks is to use an approach called vertical integration. The meaning of vertical integration is developing the ability to produce goods or services previously purchased or to actually buy a supplier or a distributor. It can take two forms: backward and forward. These forms relate to how the corporation moves in its supply chain to pursue the vertical integration. If the movement is towards the suppliers, it is called backward integration. Conversely, it is known as forward integration.
Using the module readings, Argosy University online library resources, and the Internet, research outsourcing. Based on your research, respond to the following:
  • What are the risks and benefits of the outsourcing approach?
  • What are the strategic advantages of outsourcing to vertically integrated firms?
Whenever possible, provide examples of Fortune 500 companies to illustrate your points. Write your initial response in 300–500 words. Apply APA

Routing and switching

Please answer the following questions and requirements to write your 3–5-page paper. As you answer each question, you must provide support or evidence that will enhance and empirically prove your answers. Academic IT articles or real-life IT findings that are not found in journals or other academic sources must be used in supporting your answers. Please use APA style for all cited sources, including your reference page. The following is a case study about a design company:
You are a senior network administrator for a networking solutions firm. Years ago, you installed a small LAN for the design company. It is growing fast and needs the networking solutions firm to upgrade its network. You assigned Laura to the job. That afternoon, while preparing to work on a lab assignment from her class in Cisco routing, Laura mentions that she would use a switch to implement VLANs to increase the performance of the design companys network because VLANs can be implemented quickly in switches. Explain to Laura when and where a VLAN would be the best choice. Under what circumstances would a VLAN not be the best choice? Provide examples to clarify your points. •
Another technician for the networking solutions firm, Jennifer, overhears the discussion as she sits down to examine the lab materials on Laura's desk. Jennifer thinks the design company should use an unmanaged switch to solve the problem. She reminds you that the design company has a relatively small network and that a managed switch would be more equipment than necessary. The design company's network is experiencing congestion slowdowns. What do you tell Jennifer? Provide examples in your explanation and recommendations. •
Jack also works at the networking solutions firm. As a graduate of the Cisco routing course, he thinks that a switched fabric would be the best choice. He has read that a switched fabric is easily tailored to a campus network of any size, but he is not sure how this works. Do some research, and explain how a switched fabric works. Is a switched fabric the best choice for the design company? Are there other topologies to consider? Provide examples to clarify the definition of and opinions on the uses of a switched fabric. • Ben also takes classes in Cisco routing, and he enjoys the hands-on exercises in his class. As he reviews his notes for that night's class, he is unsure of the concept of port aggregation for VLANS. Explain to Ben what kind of information is kept in a switch for port aggregation and what it is used for. What method can be used to implement port aggregation? Provide examples in your explanation to clarify and accentuate your explanation. • Be sure to cite all references using APA style

Democracy in America

This is a two part essay. Both parts use Alexis de Tocqueville's "Democracy in America." The first part needs to be a two page short essay answering the question "For Tocqueville, why is virtue so important for the stability of democracy?" Use citations and examples from Tocqueville's "Democracy in America." The second part needs to be four pages answering the question "Do modern Americans place greater value on liberty or equality?" Use both Tocqueville and contemporary examples to explain your answer. The main source to be used is Tocqueville's "Democracy in America" for both questions. For the second question use Examples from Tocqueville's "Democracy in America" as well as contemporary examples. Each questions is to be answered separately and contain its own thesis, body, conclusion, etc...

Strategic Management

Business Strategy
Select a business or part of a business that you are very familiar with. The business must already exist. This is not an assignment to evaluate a new venture proposal.
Hints:
 Students who select a company, even if it only has one business area, are likely to score poorly. The marker is looking for a very specific management agenda at the end of the assignment; this is difficult to develop for a company. Even when the company only has one business area (i.e.: a budget airline) our advice would be to narrow down the assignment to a part of the company (i.e.: a route).
 The assignment can be based on an internal department or service.
Assignment Structure Guidelines (1300 words maximum, 15 pages maximum – The assignment flysheet, contents page and bibliography are not part of your word count or page length guidelines)
1. 100 words maximum

Provide background to the business, or part of a business, you are basing your assignment on (this is to familiarise your marker with your subject matter).
Hints:
 A tabulation showing sales, profits etc. for the business over time is usefully employed (Note: Company data can be included but you should primarily provide business data/background)
 What is the role of the business within the company (or part of a business) you are basing your assignment on? How is performance evaluated?
 What percentage of portfolio sales/performance does the business account for?
 In 2. below you identify a customer target. How important is this customer target to the business and what are current levels of performance?

Analysis of Eugene Walters "Conneticut"

In a paper of 4-5 pages, (1,000-1,250 words) give an in-depth, interpretative analysis of a selected literary or contextual element in one of the stories we readin the first weeks of class, excluding the Hawthorne story:

  • Mary Ladd Gavell, “The Rotifer”
  • Eugene Walter, “Connecticut”
  • Edith Wharton, “The Eyes”
  • Truman Capote, “Miriam”
  • Kate Chopin, “Désirée’s Baby”
Possible writing topics are:
  • The Role of the Setting
  • The Meaning of Symbolism in the Story
  • A Psychological Interpretation of the Story
  • Gender Issues in the Story
  • The Role of Cultural or Historical Contexts
  • The Story’s RelevancetoToday’s Issues

To prepare for this assignment, give the selected story a close second and third reading. Also, review the files about character, setting, or critical approaches such as psychological criticism—depending on your topic choice---in Blackboard’s Documents folder. In your paper, aim at thoroughly discussing the selected element or context in the light of one central idea.

Since the paper must present a central idea about the selected element within the story, it is not sufficient to simply list details. Rather, your paper needs to address the question why the details you found are important to an interpretation of the topic you have chosen to analyze. Also, be sure to avoid summing up the plot of the story; assume that the reader is familiar with the overall storyline but may not necessarily recall specific details.

Applied Managerial Decision Making

Small Group Discussion- I have selected Cluster Analysis:
Research the Library and provide at least 1 example of how a real company has used each of the following multivariate techniques: factor analysis, multi-dimensional scaling, and cluster analysis. Companies that provide statistics software websites and market research firm websites usually include case studies and customer testimonials.
For this portion of the project, on your own, write a 1500-3000 word summary explaining to upper management the chosen multivariate technique, how it is different than the other 2 techniques, how at least one other real-life company has used this technique to address a business problem and how that technique might be used at your own organization.

HIS 101 Research Paper Assignment
Assignment
Your research paper for this class will be based on a historical figure of your choice. You may pick any person who falls within the scope of the course-that means it must be a figure from the Western world (Europe or the Americas) who lived from the beginning of recorded history until the year 1689. This gives you a wide variety of people to pick from, so pick someone who interests you.
While this paper is based on a person, it should NOT be solely the story of their life from birth to death, but should make an argument that focuses on the historical events that affected their lives, and the events that they affected. For example, if you chose Nicolo Machiavelli as your topic, you should spend very little time talking about his early life and career, and more discussing his entry into politics, the changes in his political opinions, how and why he wrote his great work The Prince, and how it affected politics both in his native Italy and across Europe, both in his time and to the present. Remember when beginning to write your paper that this course covers the history of dozens of nations. We will be discussing how events in one nation affect other nations, so you should also use this type of international perspective when considering the significance of your chosen figure.

Issue paper

Strictly APA by the publication manual of the American psychological association 6th edition second practice. Write in Third person only. Special attention to the reference page, title page Verb/noun agreement. Grammar is big. Masters level/DNP [doctor of nursing practice. Introduction and conclusions required. Use headings when needed. Thesis statement pivotal, conclusion critical, plagiarism free paper. Please make sure u have access to the below chapters before placing a bid. Please look for issues that have current bills in the 113 congress.
Issues Paper Guidelines
The purpose of the Issues Paper is to allow each student an opportunity to explore a specific health care policy issue, and propose current legislative policy options and strategies to address the issue (Unit III objectives).
Read Chapters 7 & 8 in Mason, Leavitt, & Chaffee (2014). The sample paper on pages 58-64 and the matrix/scorecard on page 54 are to be used as a guide only. The sample provided will look different from yours as you have different grading criteria (see rubric). From the sample paper, you cannot use the "do nothing or incremental change" options.
Based on your education, work experiences, and human nature, most of you probably already have opinions about many health care policy issues. A big challenge is to set aside your personal and professional opinions when analyzing health care policies in order to review the facts objectively. You need to gather the facts before you draw conclusions about the value of a policy.
Students will select a healthcare policy issue with two bills in the current Congress. These bills can be at the state and/or federal level.
Students will introduce the policy issue and define the issue. Problem identification provides a reason for the work and sense of direction for your evidence gathering. Avoid including possible solutions in your problem identification/definition.
You will then provide background information including societal, economic, ethical, legal and political factors surrounding the issue.
Students will write a one sentence issue statement (can be written as a sentence or a question).
You will also identify stakeholders, including those who will support the issue and those who will oppose the issue.
Students will identify at least two policy goals/objectives that describe what kind of policy would most benefit the issue.
In addition, students will identify two bills currently in Congress that could benefit the issue you have identified. They can be two different ways to accomplish your policy goals – but might not be the exact answer to your question. You are looking to see what might be available already, or what changes or revisions you might need to ask your legislator to include in the bill the best meet your policy goals.
Students will also identify at least 2 options or evaluative criteria and provide rationale for these criteria. Your evaluation criteria will depend on your policy issue. There is a link posted in the unit ‘Resources’ with examples of policy evaluation criteria options.
Each bill must be evaluated on all identified evaluative criteria utilizing pro and con statements.
Rationales must be provided for each of your statements and there must have references for each
pro and con statement for each bill. Refer to textbook example for writing pro/con statements.
The identified evaluation criteria will be included in the matrix/scorecard Appendix. A
matrix/scorecard is a table that summarizes your analysis of your selected bills using the
evaluation criteria you selected. Students will develop a ‘score’ for each evaluation criteria and a
total score for each policy alternative. You may use any system, but be sure to include a ‘key’.
The matrix/scorecard example on page 54 in Mason, Leavitt, and Chaffee (2014) does not
include a key. For example, students may use symbolic descriptors such as “--, -, =, +, ++”, or a
numeric descriptors, such as 1-10.
Students will discuss the analysis and comparison of the two bills based on the policy goals you
identified. You will discuss how closely the recommended bill “fits” your policy objectives you
previously identified, not based just on the evaluation criteria (which is included in your matrix).
Students will identify which policy alternative would be recommended based on the analysis.
You must make a bill recommendation; there can be no ‘tie’.
For a paper of this length, students are expected to use to use heading following the layout of the
grading rubric.
Formal papers should be 8 pages in length, excluding the title page, reference page, and
appendix.
The required matrix/scorecard should be included as an Appendix, adhering to APA formatting.
Liberal number of references (minimum of 15 references). Advanced peer reviewed nursing journals and other articles.
You must submit your paper to Turnitin.com. The final report is to be saved as a pdf document
and merged with the paper (in other words, you will be submitting one document). Students will
be given the opportunity to submit revisions of the paper to turnitin.com.
Scholarship Expectations
You are clinical nurse scholars in the making. You are the advanced practice nurses and
members of the highly literate profession of advanced practice nurses who will chart the future
of health care. Good writing ability is as much a required skill for nursing in advanced practice
as performing clinical functions. Therefore, precision and scholarship is expected in all
assignments.
Organized and logical progression of idea; effort and attention to detail is evident; communicates
effectively in all aspects of discussion. Correct grammar, spelling, and word choice. References
are current and timely. Appropriately paraphrased, and acknowledged. Correct use of APA.
Correct title page use.

Create two postcards telling the outside world about social, political, religious, intellectual, or economic aspects of medieval Japanese society

Imagine you are a visitor to medieval Japan. You decide that you want to explain to your friends back home what you have seen and done in Japan by writing two postcards. Unfortunately, you know that Japan is very isolationist and is skeptical of contact with the outside world. For this reason, you will need to describe what you see very carefully and fairly. If your postcards are discovered to be harmful to the reputation of the leadership in Japan, your life could be in danger.
Think about the social, political, religious, intellectual, and economic aspects of S.P.R.I.T.E. that you have learned about in this lesson. When writing your two postcards, be sure to pay attention to the geography of Japan, different social roles in medieval Japanese society, outside influences on Japanese culture, and Japanese reactions to those influences.
Choose a Web 2.0 tool to create your two postcards. Visit the Web 2.0 tools area of the course for additional ideas and resources.
Requirements:
  • create two postcards telling the outside world about social, political, religious, intellectual, or economic aspects of medieval Japanese society

Shen, Fu. Six Records of a Life Adrift. Hackett Publishing Co., 2011.

Book needs to read:
1: Shen, Fu.  Six Records of a Life Adrift.  Hackett Publishing Co., 2011.
2: Henrietta Harrison.  The Man Awakened From Dreams.  Stanford University Press, 2005.
The paper assignment will be a critical review of Shen Fu’s Six Records of a Life Adrift and Harrison’s The Man Awakened from Dreams (1,000-1,200 words, roughly 4-5 pages). Your essay should consider the following questions: What did Shen Fu and Liu Dapeng share in common in their understandings of a good or successful life?  What role do family relations play in their views of life?
In fact my teacher wants us to write small idea for it and don’t make the sentences too huge. The big topic (The problem of Chinese society…) is not a good idea for the paper. She only wants us to write small common and specific things. Such as Shen Fu and Liu Dapeng both want to pass the government exam and maybe use this idea to answer the question?  And you can give her one or two sentences from the book to prove your idea.  She wants to get something more detail.  And also she said we can’t write something from outside, we can just focus on the book.
For the opening part, we can only write 1/3 page for it. And this paragraph will be your option, just explain your idea clearly in this paragraph (Here will answer the question she asked). And I think this paragraph will be the most important paragraph.
The second paragraph will prove your idea from the book Six Records of a Life Adrift. Like I said you can give her the sentences(maybe 2) and your point to prove it.
The third paragraph will prove your idea from the book The Man Awakened from Dreams.
