Milborne Manufacturing produces three types of electric blenders - the
Standard, the Deluxe, and the Chef's Delight. Production of the Standard
model takes 1.5 hours, the deluxe model takes 2 hours, and the Chef's
Delight takes 2.5 hours. The profits generated by these are $28 for the
Standard, $32 for the Deluxe, and $35 for Chef's Delight. A total of 240
hours per week are available for production. The demand for each has
been forecasted to be 60 units. Management has set the following goals
(each having the same importance):
1. Utilize exactly 240 hours per week
2. Produce at least 60 units of the Chef's Delight
3. Produce at least 60 units of the Deluxe model
4. Produce at least 60 units of the Standard model
5. Generate at least $3,500 profit per week
Formulate this as a goal-programming problem.
