For the Death Penalty
In this five paragraph essay, you will present your position on the
death penalty by arguing against either Mike Royko or Anna Quindlen. In
the first paragraph of your essay, you will explain the writer's
position on the Death Penalty...something like "Mike Royko believes the
death penalty is wrong because..." Then you will argue against three of
the arguments he or she has made in three separate paragraphs. At the
end of the essay, in your conclusion, you will state why you believe
your position on the death penalty is the right one. Good Luck! Try to
use good examples to illustrate why you think the way you do AND create
body paragraphs that are unified around a topic statement.
