What is the connection between morality, politics, and happiness?

Aristotle argued that the purpose of a state (and of politics) is to ensure the good life, or happiness, of its citizens. For Aristotle, morality, goodness and happiness were essential to life.
To All: What is happiness? What makes one happy? Is it security, wealth or fame? Is it honor, health or family? Is it wisdom, freedom or peace? Are these just means to happiness, rather than ends in themselves?
Are there levels of happiness? If so, what is the highest level of happiness? What is the connection between morality, politics, and happiness?
