Although The Internet can be a wonderful tool to make life easier and more productive, it can also create situations where ethics and social impacts come into question. Privacy, Identity Theft, Cyber-bullying, Cyber-stalking, Phishing, Outsourcing, Piracy, and Copyright Infringement are all examples of issues of right and wrong that are complicated by the ever-increasing availability and capabilities of technology. What impact is The Internet having on society for better and worse?
Use your Internet Browser and/or online Library resources to search for articles or websites that have to do with ethics of technology and/or the social impact of technology. Choose a single, focused topic to research.
In the first paragraph specify the following:
•    What ethical or social issue have you chosen?
•    What is your stance on the issue?
Discuss the following:
•    Clearly explain the issue.
•    Discuss the positive and negative aspects of the issue/technology.
•    Provide support.  Cite sources.
In the last paragraph write a conclusion that must contain the following:
•    In your opinion, is the benefit of this technology worth the social impact or ethical concern?
•    What steps could be taken to minimize the negative impact?
Cite your source
•    Create a Works Cited section in a new blank page (page 3) at the end of the file, also  in MLA  style.
