Integrated Marketing Comminication Plan
For the DomPost case, can information about Fairfax Media be included
?and for the Co-op Bank, is it ok to talk about strategies that don't
target the tertiary student market? The Home Instead and Dom Post
questions can be answered in the same way. The key to doing well in
this assignment is to focus your answer on the question being asked. If
you think drawing information in about the broader companies will help,
then it is ok to do so. But, one thing that separates good assignments
from others is the writer's ability to keep the answer focused. If you
draw in outside information you need to make sure it is well integrated
and directly adds to your answer. This requires good writing skills,
so my advice is, if you doubt that you can integrate the broader
information about the Home Instead parent company or Fairfax media into
your answer then leave it out. If you believe that you can strengthen
your answer by including it, then keep it in. At all times Keep your
answers focused on the question. For the Co-op bank question, you need
to assess what information is available, if there is no evidence of
marketing comms being targeted at Students, then of course you have to
bring in information about their other Communications work.
