Environmentalism and religion

Recent trends of environmentalism have attempted to create a universal approach to man’s role in caring for the environment. Underlying this attempt to globalize environmental concerns is the variety of views of man’s relationship to the environment. One of the major components of most religions (and worldviews) is to define this relationship. There are many approaches to this relationship. Which of the following do you hold to? (or a combination) : The natural world: 1. Was created by a divine being or God with the intent that humans se it for their needs. 2. Can be studied or manipulated to benefit humans, but otherwise does not have greater significance. 3. Is home to humans and fellow beings like animals and plants; it is a landscape where the life force is present in everything. 4. Is an ecological web of life where each species is interdependent on many others
